A room decorator for a holiday party has just found a home in her new home, and it’s the perfect place to unwind after a long day.
“My husband and I are living in the basement in a house that’s been in the family for a while,” she said.
“It’s always a dream to have this new space, to be able to see our children and grandchildren and enjoy the holidays with them.
It’s really just perfect.”
The decorator, who has been living with her boyfriend for a few years, had originally planned to move into her newly purchased home in the city, but her husband has had an apartment in nearby Huntington Beach since she moved in, so she decided to keep the family home in Southern California.
“My husband has lived in Huntington Beach for years, and we’ve always been happy with the place,” she explained.
“But he had to take his job so we were looking for a place where we could get away from the stress and commute.”
Her husband and kids are thrilled to finally be living in her home, but it’s not easy.
“We have a lot of space, and a lot to do,” she recalled.
“So we wanted to get away for awhile and have fun with our kids, so we moved in.”
The home decorator has had the space for her family for more than a decade.
It was the perfect home for a family of six, and now they are happy to have a place to spend time with their families.
“We had a great time,” she continued.
“I had my kids and my husband.
We just wanted to be there with them and not have to be around them.”
The family also has a few things to keep in mind, including that the decorations will stay in the house for the foreseeable future.
“A lot of the decorations are in our living room, so it’s going to be a little bit different,” she shared.
“They’ll be able just to go over to the other side of the house and see them.”
She also plans to keep her old kitchen decorator’s favorite room decorate.
“When we first moved into our new home we had a big wood burning stove that we wanted in there, so I put some wood and a table in there and had some Christmas lights in there,” she recounted.
“That was a great spot for it to be.”
